Paid annually Worktivity drops to $3.32, so the real gap is wider than the numbers above. Both are billed per seat, so it grows with headcount.

Which one fits your team
Worktivity is the better fit if:
- Harvest can tell a client how many hours a job took. Worktivity can also show the shape of those hours: which applications were open, how the activity level moved, and, when you switch them on, screenshots or a timelapse of the session.
- Harvest time is time somebody entered. Worktivity time is time the agent observed while the job was being done, which changes what a timesheet is worth when a project is reviewed months later.
- You see the cost of an hour next to the price of it. Worktivity reports what a tracked hour cost the company against what it can be billed for, and how much of a project's value survived as profit.
Harvest is the better fit if:
- Invoicing is the job, not a by-product. Harvest's billing, payment collection and accounting integrations are more mature than what a monitoring-first product offers.
- Expenses with receipts belong in the same workflow as the hours. Harvest captures them; Worktivity does not track expenses at all.
- Client and retainer administration matters more than the record of the work. Harvest has years of agency use behind that side of the product.

Billing is the risky part of this move, not tracking. Keep Harvest running until open invoices are settled and the current billing period has closed, and let Worktivity record alongside it in the meantime.

Can Worktivity take over my Harvest data?
Not automatically. Export time entries, clients, projects and invoice history from Harvest, then rebuild the client and rate structure in Worktivity by hand. The invoice history is better kept as an accounting archive than reproduced inside a new system.
Does Worktivity handle invoicing and expenses?
Invoicing and payouts are built in and raised from tracked hours, with cost, billable amount and profit percentage reported per project. Expense tracking with receipts is not included, so if receipts are central to how you bill, Harvest is ahead of us there.
Why would an agency add monitoring at all?
Mostly for the hours it defends. When a client asks what a line item actually covered, the activity record, the applications used and, if you enabled them, screenshots or a timelapse turn a long argument into a short one. Capture can also be blurred or switched off entirely if the team would rather not have it.
