How to delete your Worktivity account

You can delete your Worktivity account yourself, at any time, without contacting us. This page explains where the option is, what happens when you use it and what stays behind.

From the mobile app

In the Worktivity mobile app (Android and iOS):

1. Open the Settings tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
3. Enter your password. You can add a reason; that field is optional.
4. Confirm. The app signs you out and returns to the sign-in screen.

From the web panel

Sign in at app.useworktivity.com, open Account settings and use Delete account at the bottom of the page. The web panel also asks you to type your email address before it enables the button.

What happens

Your password is checked first, so nobody can delete your account from a device you left signed in.

After that:

• Your account is closed. You can no longer sign in, and your email address is released from the account.
• Your profile and your employment records are removed from the product.
• If you own an organization, that organization is closed together with everything in it: its teams, its employee records, its activity records, and any screenshots or timelapse videos it had collected.

The action cannot be undone. There is no waiting period and no way to restore the account afterwards; if you want to use Worktivity again, you sign up again.

What stays

Worktivity is a workplace tool, and some records belong to the employer rather than to you.

If you are a member of someone else's organization, the working time recorded for that organization stays with that organization. Your employer keeps their own attendance and payroll records; deleting your Worktivity account does not erase your employer's copy of the hours you worked for them. This is the same as leaving a job: your personal account goes, the company's timesheets stay with the company.

If you want those records removed as well, ask the organization's owner or administrator. They can do it from their own panel, and they are the data controller for that organization.

We may also keep records where the law requires it, for example invoicing and tax records for paid subscriptions.

Deleting the app is not the same as deleting your account

Removing the Worktivity app from your phone stops it from recording anything new, but your account and its data stay on our servers. Use the Delete account option before you uninstall.

If you cannot reach the option

If you have lost access to your account and cannot sign in, write to support@useworktivity.com from the address on the account and ask for deletion. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it.
