Track time on your Notion tasks

Measured hours next to the pages in your Notion databases.

Worktivity connects a Notion database to a Worktivity project and pulls its pages in as tasks, so tracked time lands on the work your team already plans in Notion. Importing is read-only: your Notion pages and databases are never changed. Each task takes its title, status, assignee, due date and priority from the page properties, which Worktivity finds by property type. The text inside a page does not come across, and a page deleted or archived in Notion stays in Worktivity. The one thing that can go back is tracked time. If you turn on Write time back, Worktivity adds it as a comment on the matching page, one per person per page per day. It is off by default and only ever adds comments.

How to connect Notion

A few minutes in Worktivity. No engineering ticket, no script to run.

Create a Worktivity account
Sign up and invite the people who work off your Notion databases.
Connect Notion in Workspace settings
In Worktivity, open Workspace settings, then Integrations, and select Connect on the Notion card. Only the Owner and Co-owner can do this.
Share databases and link one
On Notion's own screen, choose the workspace and the pages and databases to share with Worktivity. One connection covers one Notion workspace. Then open Manage and use Connect database to link a Notion database to a new or existing Worktivity project. A database missing from the list has not been shared yet: in Notion, open it, choose the ... menu, then Connections, and add Worktivity. Sharing a parent page also shows the databases under it.
Start tracking
The Notion pages show up as tasks in that Worktivity project and refresh regularly, or on request with "Sync now". Time tracked against them lands there.

Pages become tasks
Pages from a linked Notion database arrive as tasks in the Worktivity project, so people track time against the work the team already plans in Notion, instead of logging it twice. Importing never changes your Notion pages or databases.
People matched by email
People are matched to your employees by their email address, so tasks reach the right person without matching them one by one. Anyone Worktivity cannot match with certainty, you match by hand.
Time back to Notion, if you want it
Importing never changes your Notion pages or databases. Only if you turn on Write time back, which is off by default, does Worktivity add the time tracked from then on as a comment on the matching page, one per person per page per day, once the day is over. The person's name is in the comment text; the comment itself is posted through the Worktivity connection, not by the person who tracked the time.
