I forgot my password, how do I get back in?

Ask for a reset link from the sign-in screen, open it from your inbox and pick a new password. Each link works once.

You do not need anyone's help for this. The reset runs from the sign-in screen and takes two steps: ask for a link, then pick a new password.

Getting the link

On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot your password. Enter the email address you sign in with and press Send reset link.

We send a reset link and a short code to that address. Delivery usually takes seconds but can take a couple of minutes; if nothing has arrived, check your spam folder before asking for another.

The screen looks the same whether or not an account exists at that address. That is on purpose, so nobody can use the reset form to find out who has an account. If the email never arrives, the likely reason is that you signed up with a different address.

Setting the new password

Open the link from the email and the new password screen appears with your account already filled in. Type the password twice and save.

It has to be at least 6 characters and at most 50. Pick something you have not used here before.

We send a confirmation email the moment the password is saved. If one of those arrives and it was not you, reset the password again straight away and tell us.

If the link does not work

Each link works once. Once a password has been set with it, it stops working, and so does any older link you requested earlier. Ask for a new one and use the newest email in your inbox.

A link that was copied by hand or broken across two lines by an email client is missing part of the address, and the screen will say it cannot tell which account to update. Click the link rather than retyping it.

If you cannot reach the email address

The address is the only way back in, so a reset cannot help when you have lost access to the inbox itself.

If you are part of somebody's organization, an administrator can change the email address on your employee record, and the reset then goes to the new address. If you are the founder and the inbox is gone, write to us from an address we can connect to the account.
