How do I change my name, email or password?

Account settings holds your profile, your password and the account deletion. The email address there is what you sign in with.

Your account belongs to you, not to an organization. The same profile follows you into every workspace you are part of.

Getting there

  1. Click your avatar at the top right of the screen.
  2. Choose Account settings.

Three tabs sit there: Profile, Security and Notifications. Notifications appears only while you belong to an organization, because those preferences are set per organization.

Profile

  • Photo: JPG or PNG up to 2 MB. It is stored when you press Save changes, and Use default removes it.
  • First name and Last name: two to fifty characters each.
  • Email address: five to two hundred and twenty-five characters.
The email address on this screen is your sign-in address. Changing it changes what you type the next time you sign in. No confirmation message is sent, and there is no undo.

If the new address already belongs to another Worktivity user, the save is refused and the old address stays. Everything else is written straight through.

Password

  1. Open the Security tab.
  2. Type your current password, then the new one twice. The new one has to be six to fifty characters and different from the current one.
  3. Press Change password.

The screen shows when you last changed it. Changing the password does not sign you out anywhere: your other devices keep their sessions, so sign out by hand on anything you do not recognize.

Deleting the account

The Profile tab ends with the deletion, in two steps. The first lists what you lose, the second asks you to type your own email address exactly, then your password and a reason.

  • Every organization you own is deleted with its teams, people, screenshots, videos and history. Everyone working in them loses access.
  • You are removed from the organizations you were invited to. Those keep running without you.
  • Your email address is released, so you can no longer sign in with it.

If you were invited and have not signed up yet

Until you register, your name and email are held on the invitation and an administrator edits them from the employees screen. What happens after an invitation walks through the first day; the administrator side is in blocking, removing or moving an employee.
