How do I connect my own Claude or ChatGPT account?

You can connect your own assistant to Worktivity and ask it about your work in plain language. Open Account settings and choose the AI connections tab. If the tab tells you the feature is off or not opened to you, an owner controls that — see the workspace setup article.

Two ways in

Pick one. Most people want the first.

• A connector, for Claude or ChatGPT. Add a custom connector in that app and paste the address Worktivity gives you. You will be asked to sign in to Worktivity once, and after that the assistant asks on your behalf.
• A token, for Claude Code, Claude Desktop and your own scripts. The token is shown once and expires after at most 90 days. Copy it when it appears; it cannot be shown again.

Which address to paste

There are two, and the one you paste decides what the connection can ever reach.

• All of your workspaces. One connection that covers every workspace you belong to. You name the workspace in each question. This is the recommended one if you are in more than one.
• This workspace only. A connection that can never reach anything outside the workspace you are in, so questions do not need a workspace name.

This cannot be changed later. To switch from one to the other, disconnect and connect again with the other address.

What you can ask

What the team did last week, which project took the most time, who is on leave, how a person's hours look this month. Every answer stays inside what your own role already sees in Worktivity — connecting an assistant never widens that.

Disconnecting

Connected apps lists everything you have connected, with the date it was created and when it was last used. Disconnect removes it and the assistant using it stops working right away. An owner can also disconnect it from the workspace side.
