Working days, the expected start and end time and the daily target are what every late, early and overtime figure is measured against. They live on two cards, in two tabs of the same screen.

Working days, timezone and the daily target

  1. Sign in at app.useworktivity.com as an owner or a co-owner. Only those two roles can open organization settings.
  2. Go to Organization, then Settings, then the General tab.
  3. Find the Work schedule card.
  4. Tick the Working days. At least one day is required. A new organization starts with Monday to Friday.
  5. Set the Organization timezone. Reports, clock-in times and daily totals are calculated in it.
  6. Pick Expected work hours per day. The list runs from 15 minutes to 16 hours in 15-minute steps.
  7. Save the card.

Days outside the working-days list are dimmed on the timesheet and are not counted against the daily target.

Expected clock-in and clock-out

  1. Same screen, the Tracking tab.
  2. Find the Work day rules card.
  3. Set Expected clock-in. Clocking in later than this counts as late. A new organization starts at 09:00.
  4. Set Expected clock-out, the end of the expected work day. A new organization starts at 18:00.
  5. Save the card.

Times are offered in 15-minute steps from 00:00 to 23:45, and the whole day is selectable. A value already saved outside that grid stays as it is. When clock-out is at or before clock-in, the card says the work day is read as running past midnight; a night shift is a valid setting, not an error.

Two neighbours on the same card

  • Minimum productive time per day is the productive-time floor a work day is measured against.
  • Idle after is how long a computer can go without keyboard or mouse activity before the desktop app marks it idle. Between 1 and 60 minutes.

These apply to everyone

There is no per-person working schedule. Per-person tracking settings do exist, under Organization then Employees, but they cover screenshots, blur, timelapse videos, background mode and automatic clock-in. Working days, timezone, expected hours and the daily target are organization-wide.

Each card saves on its own. Changing a field on one card and pressing save on the other leaves the first change unsaved.

The per-person settings and the screenshot interval are covered in how to change how often screenshots are taken.
