How do I change how often screenshots are taken?
The interval is an organization setting between one and sixty minutes, and a change takes about fifteen minutes to reach the computers.

How often screenshots are taken is an organization setting. Nobody changes it from the desktop app: the computers read the value from your organization and follow it.
Where the setting lives
- Open app.useworktivity.com and sign in as an owner or an admin.
- Go to Organization, then Settings, then the Tracking tab.
- Find the Screen capture card and make sure Capture screenshots is on.
- Pick a value under Capture interval and save the card.
What the interval means
The interval is measured in minutes and accepts any value from 1 to 60. At five minutes, each computer captures one screenshot roughly every five minutes of recorded work.
- The clock is per person, not per team. Two people who started at different times will not be captured in the same second.
- Every connected display is captured, not just the one in front. The record also carries how many screens were connected.
- Blur screenshots sits next to the interval. The image is blurred on the computer before it is uploaded, so a readable version never leaves the machine.
Your plan sets the shortest interval
Intervals shorter than your plan allows are still listed, but they cannot be selected and say so. Blur and timelapse videos are plan features too. See what each plan includes.
When the change reaches the computers
Not immediately. Organization settings are cached for fifteen minutes on the server, and each desktop app picks them up when it next refreshes the account. Allow about fifteen minutes before you decide a new interval did not work.
If the next screenshot still arrives on the old schedule, wait one cache period before touching anything else. Two changes in a row make it impossible to tell which one took effect.
Giving one person a different interval
The organization value is the default, not a rule. To change it for one person, open Organization, then Employees, open that row's menu and choose Tracking settings. Turn on Use custom settings for this person and the same controls appear for that employee alone. While the switch is off, they follow the organization.
When no screenshot is taken at all
- During a break. The app still sends the minute record, but without an image.
- Outside a shift. Nothing is captured while somebody is clocked out.
- When the feature is off, for the organization or for that one person. Nothing is captured and nothing is uploaded.
Two separate switches decide who can look at the result afterwards: employees seeing their own screenshots, and employees deleting them. What employees can see about themselves covers both.
