Where do I see which apps and websites the time went to?
Apps summary lists every application and website with its working and idle minutes, split into two tabs and grouped by team.
- Web
Apps summary is the entry-level answer to "where did the time actually go". One row per application or website, added up over the range, with the productive split of that time beside it.
Open it
- Sign in at app.useworktivity.com.
- Go to Insights, then Apps summary.
- Set the range, then narrow by team, employee, project or task.
- Switch between the Applications and Websites tabs.
The two tabs are not a filter over the same list. An entry with a web address is a website, everything else is a desktop application. Without the split every browser row would read as the browser's own name.
Reading the numbers
- Working hours and Idle hours are counted separately. Idle minutes are recorded against whatever was open, but they never count as working time.
- Productivity shares are worked out on working minutes only, so an entry with idle time alone shows no split.
- Rows are grouped by team. The same application used by two teams appears once per team, which is how the rows are stored.
- Unidentified time collects minutes that arrived without an application on them. They are still counted in the totals.
Category cards
Above the tables, working minutes are grouped by the category the Worktivity model assigned to each entry. A new application has no category until the model has seen enough of it; those minutes sit under Not categorized and are still counted.
What this screen does not count
Break minutes and the minutes around clocking in and out are left out here, so the total is smaller than the one on Work times. That difference is expected, not a fault.
Taking the numbers out
Export as xlsx offers two files: by application, and the same rows split by the person who used them. A range longer than a day adds one sheet per day. Data export is a plan capability.
Only the host of a site is ever recorded, never the full address. What Worktivity collects has the complete list.
